Maluku Kinshasa 2nd – 6th June 2014.
RFM team just returned from Maluku where the Lord truly saved.
Maluku is a small town on the great Congo River where small farms and fishing businesses sustain the inhabitants. Most people here are simply church goers, yet devastatingly, have no real relationship with the Living God. That is why the Lord sent us, so that multitudes may come to know Jesus as their personal Saviour and Friend.
The first day started slowly and my first thought was, “Oh no, hardly anyone has come!” But as the praise and worship went up and out, a trickle of people started to arrive. In the next few moments, I looked up and a good crowd had gathered. Clearly the Holy Spirit was at work. I could sense the preaching was touching hearts deeply and when I gave the altar call, many came forward and called out to Jesus with all of their hearts.
The hearts of the people were very open to God’s truth, and upon hearing it, as in the book of Acts, “they were cut to the heart” and clearly saw the need for salvation. Day after day, the crowd grew and the response to Jesus grew. The clear pure Gospel re-calibrated hearts, I overheard some pastors saying, “This is the pure Gospel.” I am convinced that the Gospel needs no watering down, if it is proclaimed as it was by the early church, we would have the same results they had.
We truly rejoice at the response to God’s Word, the Gospel. Truly, Heaven is richer and hell is poorer!
