I have been looking at what it means to be an evangelist.No one would argue with me that Jesus is the perfect pattern for all ministries.

At the beginning of His ministry he stood up and quoted from the book of Isaiah.  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Luke 4:18

This phrase “preach the gospel” is the single word “euaggelizo” meaning to evangelise. So we can say Jesus was anointed to evangelise the poor.  To bring the good news of Healing, deliverance, forgiveness, liberty to those oppressed!

Luke 4:43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.   Everywhere Jesus went he brought good news. When the good news was embraced there was great Joy.

Luke 9:6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing everywhere. They went evangelising. Everywhere they went healing followed the preaching of the Gospel as evidence it was really the good news.

The evangelist brings glad tidings of good things. We preach the Gospel of peace, The Gospel of the Kingdom THE GOOD NEWS.

Sibiti Congo is waiting to hear the good news – there are thousands of people waiting to be introduced to the saviour.  We are going down to Sibiti to preach CHRIST to them.  Like Philip we will open our mouth and preach JESUS.

We preach the person of Jesus Christ.  I appeal to you our friends please help us take the good news to Sibiti.  We boldly ask for your help to meet all the needs.  Our Planning team is scheduled to travel to Congo on Tuesday we ask you to please stand with us in prayer and financially for the BOUANSACongo Crusade.  Nothing else is more important than reaching the lost with the gospel.
