Maua Kenya Update

Maua Kenya 19th to 23rd August.

Thinking about the value of a single soul caused me to recall the joy of my own mother being saved. It was our first Christmas Eve without dad, and we wanted to spend it with mom to just be with her and encourage her. Oh, I will never forget that night at Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, South Africa. Reinhard Bonnke was preaching. At the end of a powerful, clear proclamation of the Gospel, my mom stood up, and almost ran forward in response to the alter call! Seconds later, my sister jumped up … then her husband. Tears of joy streamed down our cheeks. What joy it is when a loved one responds to Jesus!

Next week, we are going to Maua, some 150 miles north-west of Nairobi, Kenya, to preach this same glorious Gospel. Multitudes upon multitudes will respond to Jesus. Then, the thought struck me, I should be just as moved, just as happy, when any one responds to Jesus not just our loved ones. Everyone is valuable and precious to God. Heaven is rejoicing! Oh, how I rejoice that we can go and proclaim the Gospel in Maua!

This past week, we were part of a powerful and a stirring mission-conference at Nairobi Lighthouse Church. One thread that came through very clearly was that God will not fail! God cannot fail! The Great Commission gets fulfilled. This is confirmed in Revelation 11:15, “Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!’”

The question is not, “Is the job going to get done?” It will get done. God will not fail. With an even more intense focus we say, “Africa shall be saved”. The question is, “What part will I have in that which God will do?” What a privilege to be included in God’s eternal plan! We ask you to remember us in PRAYER this coming week, as the technical team spring into action travelling and setting up. There are still outstanding needs, and we have to meet the budget, but love compels us to go and not wait for needs to be met! People must hear the GOOD NEWS.
