Muranga Update

The Crusade

The Stadium Crusade started small but, as the Gospel rang out, God drew people from across the city. Saturday was Holy Spirit Day, and I preached with boldness and utterance. God confirmed His word with a wonderful outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Afterwards, one of the participating Pastors exclaimed, “I saw it with my own eyes. I heard it with my own ears – they started talking in tongues!” He was so excited. As the crowd began to speak in tongues, we went on to pray strong, powerful prayers over Muranga town. Several of the leaders came forward and prayed, as the whole crowd turned and stretched their hands towards the area over which we were praying. As our cook was bringing the team’s supper to the Stadium, she was walking through the town, and later, she told us that she had heard the sound of the prayer right in the centre of the town. It was as if something was shaking the whole town! We closed on Sunday with nearly 3,000 in attendance. On that Sunday morning, some churches reported, with great excitement, how new converts had come into their services.

Surely, the Lord has started something in Muranga – a desire for nothing less than a full?blown awakening, in which every Church is full, not only of people, but also of the Glory of God.
